Begun in 1994 and 100% complete by the Convention, the C&Wry occupies a basement 26'x32', with a double level track plan, approximately 300' of mainline, operating point-to-point but capable of continuous running on the top level.
This is my private narrow gauge north/south railroad from Aspen in the north and Gunnision in the south, interchanging with the D&RGW Standard Gauge and Colorado Midland in the north, and, the D&RGW narrow gauge and Colorado & Southern in the south. Set in the 20 and 30's, all historic Colorado railroads are still in business (although I take modeler's license when feel like it).
The C&WRy is a mountain railroad and a helper station resides in the middle of the railroad with a branch coming into the helper station. Helpers are needed in both directions from this point and trains are run upwards on 4% grades, based on tonnage.
Industries include coal and precious ore mining, lumber, livestock and oil. Passenger service also serves the region. Track is almost 100% hand-laid code 100. Locomotives include C&WRy as well as D&RGW, RGS and C&S. Rolling stock represents C&WRy, D&RGW, C&S, F&CC and RGS.
