The New Mexico Narrow Gauge Modular Club was formed in2004 by Phil Fossaluzza in Albuquerque, NM. The club started with just 3 active members 13 years ago. It currently has 13 active members ranging in age from preteens to eighties (8 to 88). We have actively shown our modules at the Narrow Gauge Conventions and other train shows around the western United States. Club members have a brief “how to” clinic at every meeting and actively mentor new members in building their modules. Club members build their own modules using specific standards so that the modules may be assembled as a large linear layout. The modules are built freelanced and are based on scenes that occur along a narrow gauge railroad and are not intended to form a continuous scene. Most of the modules are built with Southwest style scenery. Our members have won awards at national conventions and authored articles in national model railroad publications.
